DONATE

The HBCU Times Group values each
and every donation we receive from our supporters.

The net proceeds from all donations will go to provide students with scholarship support to complete undergraduate studies at Historically Black Colleges and Universities(HBCUs). Given the average 6 year graduation rate for students enrolled at HBCUs is approximately 35 percent, there is critical need to provide additional financial support to assist students in their efforts to graduate. Although finances may not be the only barrier contributing to the graduation rate of students at HBCUs, it is certainly documented as one of the main reasons students do not successfully graduate. Thus, the HBCU Time Scholarship Fund was created to assist students with financial support to completed their degrees.

Despite the less than stellar graduation rate for HBCUS, HBCUs have been at the forefront of producing exemplary alumni in every profession. For example, HBCUs produce 80% of African American Judges, 50% of African American Lawyers, 50% of African American Professors at non-HBCUs, 40% of African American engineers. Even though HBCUs have traditionally been underfunded and under-resourced, HBCUs have continuously produced exceptional graduates.

In fact, the HBCU Times Magazine was created to tell many of the positive stories about HBCUs and their amazing alumni. The HBCU Times Magazine is dedicated to sharing powerful stories about the HBCU Community to over 500,000 readers. We have featured stories on U.S Congressman James Clyburn, the 2017 MISS USA, Kara McCullough, Benedict College’s First African American President, Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis, Philanthropist, Robert Johnson and many other major influencers.

The HBCU Times Group continue to tell positive HBCU stories while also celebrating excellence within the HBCU Community and raising funds for the next generation of HBCU leaders. By supporting the HBCU Times Group, you can play a critical role in helping us to enhance the graduation rate and success of future doctors, lawyers, engineers, social workers, accountants and teachers.
