Dr. Demestress Bell-Williams, “Dr. Dee,”  is a global educator and school and community relations specialist. She is also a highly qualified South Carolina Educator & Administrator, Internationally Certified Teacher Trainer, World-class Inspirational Speaker, Educational Consultant, Academic Coach, Author, Vlogger, Faith Leader, as well as a Youth and Young Adult Mentor. 

Dr. Dee grew up in Norway, South Carolina; a small rural town in Orangeburg County, the place where her training for community service and love for education all began. Dr. Dee is a proud graduate of South Carolina’s only Historically Black College & University’s (HBCU) 1890 Land-grant public institution, SC State University; where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional English. She would then go on to attend Lesley University to obtain a Master of Science Degree in Education.  Dr. Dee returned to her beloved alma mater and completed both an Educational Specialist Degree and an Educational Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration.

With nearly 20 years of experience in education and leadership, she founded Dr. Dee Unlimited in 2018. It is an Educational Consulting Company that aims to help individuals and families break boundaries and transform minds through best practices in education and collaborative community partnerships. With high-powered energy, Dr. Dee challenges her clients to identify and leverage their unlimited potential by becoming an “unlimited edition” in all of their personal efforts and endeavors.

Dr. Dee is the pioneering creator and Amazon bestselling author of Culture Focused Teaching: A Simple System To Escape Classroom Management Chaos And Fall In Love With Teaching Again, aimed to assist teachers with best practices in classroom management and classroom culture, which in turn, aids schools in retaining quality educators in the classroom. Her system is sure to transform frustrated teachers and educational professionals into “difference makers” and champions for all students in the classroom.

Her emphasis is on culture-focused teaching (CFT) practices that create a cooperative classroom culture for students and teachers. CFT proposals have been approved in both the US and abroad.  She has also created both a Classroom Management Mastery Course and Classroom Management Crash Course, which can both be found on the www.culturefocusedteaching.com website. Dr. Dee has presented her research in the US and abroad; she has empowered groups in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.

In early 2019, Dr. Dee debuted her Facebook Live Show, “Unlimited Edition-Live”, which has served the community with monthly themes featuring community guests. In addition, Dr. Dee launched her very first radio segment, “Live Discussions on Air” in the Fall of 2019. With an effort to inform and inspire; she features guests who serve in various realms of education, community outreach, and government.  This platform serves as a way to engage with the community as she aims to shed light on ways to improve local education policy and community relationships.  She likes to call it, “Building a Better Backyard.”

In August of 2019, Dr. Dee joined the Benedict College family as a full-time professor in the Department of Communication and Arts.  Along with her duties as a professor, she serves as the advisor for the 10th Sector of A. Bevy; an organization focused on self-awareness, self-development, and holistic growth for the Benedict College Students.

Dr. Dee is a member of the 2020 SC Emerge Cohort; an organization that prepares Democratic women to run for public office. She is also a proud member of The Talented Tenth of Columbia, a philanthropic organization founded in 2010 by the Honorable U.S. President of Mayors, Mayor Steve Benjamin.  Talented Tenth serves to promote black philanthropy and black business partnerships in the city of Columbia, SC.  There, she has served as the Committee Chair for Midlands Gives & Giving Black Day.  Dr. Dee also serves on the Grant Review Committee for Central Carolina Community Foundation and she is also a 20-year member of the Phenomenal Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. founded on the campus of Howard University in 1920.

In February of 2020, Dr. Dee took a leap of faith and licensed her company as a market-place ministry, which was a perfect fit to display the authentic nature of her calling and purpose as a licensed minister and community advocate. Since, Dr. Dee Unlimited has not only reached the hearts of teachers world-wide, but has launched a cultural diversity coaching program for community leaders from religious, business, and government sectors.

Dee is married to Douglas Williams; they reside in Columbia, South Carolina.  While they enjoy spending time with their Yorkie-Poo, Jordan, they also enjoy traveling, shopping, visiting family, and reading
