Jasmine Raiford
Brand Ambassador of HBCU Times Groups
My name is Jasmine Raiford. I am 29 years old and reside in Atlanta, GA. I was born in Newport News, Virginia, and raised in Brooklyn, NY until I moved to South Carolina as a little girl. I was raised by my great grandparents along with my older sister and little brother.
As I transitioned from being in South Carolina from living in New York, I picked up some hobbies such as basketball, track, modeling, and dance. I enjoyed modeling the most. However, financially we could not offer to keep pursuing it.
My great grandparents instilled in me the importance of education so during my senior year of High School I enrolled in school at Claflin University where I pursued my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Gerontology. I developed a passion for the elderly and wanted to ensure the safety and well being, which led me to obtain my Master’s degree in Health Services Administration with a concentration in Clinical Care Management. I worked for the Aiken County Board of Disability as a Program Plan Coordinator.
Although I have a strong academic background, modeling full time has never left my mind. I started modeling in 2012 in Charlotte, NC for the CIAA fashion show. After I started building my portfolio, I moved to Atlanta in 2019. After a year of living in Atlanta, I am finally a full-time model for many brands. The goal is to become a successful commercial, lifestyle, and International model for huge companies. I also want to use my education by opening up homes for patients with disabilities.
