Nicholas Jackson
Brand Ambassador of HBCU Times Groups
Nicholas G. Jackson is a generational strategist, coffee enthusiast, advocate for
ducation, Creative, & an expert, grassroots networker. Born in Atlanta, GA and reared
in Chattanooga, TN, Nicholas graduated from the Chattanooga School for the Arts and
Sciences in 2009 after which he immediately enrolled as a full-time, first-time freshman
at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL. While at Stillman,
Nicholas was very involved on and off campus and a member of several student organizations, including the Blue Pride Marching Band, Stillman College Choir, a Residential Assistant, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., & Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity, Inc., He also served as a Student Ambassador and Student Support Specialist. He was an active member in the Afro American Gospel Choir (AAGC) of The University of Alabama from his freshman year through and beyond graduation, which offered him a whole new world and perspective to experience & explore. He had the opportunity to serve as the director of both the Stillman College Gospel Choir & the AAGC.
Nicholas received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Stillman, but beyond his academics, he enjoyed a well-rounded, holistic college experience which he enjoys sharing with students to inspire them to seek out, create, and make the most of their opportunities and experiences. While a student at Stillman and after graduating and moving to Birmingham in 2015, he served as a bridge between people and organizations as a recruiter, educator, volunteer, and community partner with the aim of serving individuals and communities at large for maximum impact for positive, effective change.
Nicholas’s “sweet spots” are business development, project management, communications, & community engagement. He has recently returned home to Stillman to serve as the Executive Assistant to the President’s Office & Special Projects. Nicholas firmly believes that “normal is not just overrated- it’s nonexistent,” and he passionately works to ensure students can identify and develop their unique & innate talents & abilities. He inspires them to find their oxygen & to become the best version of themselves as he himself continues to be a lifelong learner.
