The Mission of the HBCU Times Group is to assist with the enhancement of graduation and retention rates of students at HBCUs through scholarships and strategic programs.
The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the HBCU Times Group as a 501(c)(3)exempt organization and public charity. Contributions and gifts to The HBCU Times Group are tax deductible to the extent provided by federal legislation.

In order to accomplish the stated mission, The HBCU Times Group provides a variety of services including but not limited to the following:
The primary goal of the HBCU Times group is to enhance the image of HBCUs. The HBCU Times Group provides scholarships to students at HBCUs, with an emphasis on Juniors and Seniors. The HBCU Times Annual Fundraising Gala serves as one of our major fundraising activities.
The Purpose of the HBCU Times Ambassador’s Program is to further the mission of the HBCUs. This program engages HBCU alumni, students and allies to illuminate HBCUs in the most positive light.
The HBCU Times Ambassadors will also help to expand the HBCU Times Brand by participating in numerous activities including but not limited to the following:
● Active engagement on Social Media promoting HBCUs and the HBCU Times Brand
● Participating in Professional Development activities.
● Developing Innovative ideas to assist HBCUs with retention and graduation.
● Engaging in Fundraising activities and events to raise funds for scholarships for HBCU students.
